The True Story

With 9 years experience of entertaining many different groups from schools, through to the corporate functions and night entertainment at Woodlyn Park in Waitomo, Barry Woods aka Billy Black has now designed a travelling show especially for the corporate market. Ideally it can be used as an inspirational and entertaining opening of a conference or altered slightly to be full on entertainment in the evening of a function.

If you want something different for your conference then this is right up there with the most unique conference/motivational speaking and entertainment you will find.

Travelling the world for many years as a professional shearer and being involved in a World Record 20 years ago which still stands today, (himself shearing 675 sheep in one day) "Billy Black was fortunate to be born with an extra inch, and this did get him into trouble around the world" Including being run out of an Australian town, then deported from America only to be back in the USA 24 hours later - and this is all because of his extra inch - yes an amazing but true story,

Then building and designing one of the most unique tourism complexes in the country as featured on Country Calendar and the Great Outdoors programme, and now voted "In the top ten of the most unusual places to stay in the World" by the lonely planet. A power point presentation is used to bring alive this story and also show the amazing complex of Woodlyn Park and the trials and tribulations of: Capturing the Medias attention, with stories like the North Island Shrek sheep Capture, Don Rash the dancing pig who went missing? - Building the world’s only U Drive Jetboat Course, The purchasing of a Bristol Freighter Aeroplane from Wahi, dismantling it for transport, re: converting it into the world’s first aeroplane motel. (NZ’s first inland Mile High Club) - The designing and building of the world’s first Hobbit Motel. There is no other story like it from shearing sheep around the world to building a multi million dollar tourism complex and presented with Billy Black’s good old Kiwi humour - this is an inspirational story.

Woodlyn Park has now been filmed by the Lonely Planet for their programme – The Globetrotter which has a world wide viewing of 30 million people. Billy Black now has his thinking cap on again as this story doesn’t end here though, as Billy has just made a BIG purchase for yet another World unique motel,.......Watch this space.

When needed there is a special visit from Don Rash, the dancing pig who was pig knapped early in his career. The now famous moon-walking pig who has his own world record of being the first abseiling pig into the Lost World Cave in Waitomo, and now the first pig to ride in a motorbike sidecar... in fact Don is the most travelled pig in New Zealand, having done shows in far north Whangarei, to Hokitika in the South Island. Yes, this is very different and unique entertainment for any function!
